The data will be used to observe the degree of postural change before and after a person is treated with a technique involving stretches and gentle spinal adjustments, most of which are performed with the patient standing.
The technique, known as advanced biostructural correction, aims to address poor posture and pain.
By having practitioners collate data from across the country, they hope to assess whether the method produces consistent changes across a range of patients and practitioners, and reduces pain.
"We're looking for people of all ages to get involved," he said.
"Anyone suffering back or hip pain, headaches, neck or shoulder pain could be a candidate, even if they've tried other treatments, including other forms of chiropractic care."
The pilot study, which started on July 1, involves a treatment session and a pain survey.
