The five-day sports program for children aged six to 12 is held during the school holidays at the end of each term.
This year it was included in the Hunter Academy of Sport’s Festival of Sport schedule.
The festival aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage the young and old to try a new sport.
Everything from soccer to basketball to swimming was on offer at The Forum.
There were also some skill-testers, including a skipping challenge and a bean bag balance challenge.
Get Active Week program co-ordinator Chris Dale said it was about encouraging kids to have a go.
‘‘It’s not aimed at elite athletes,’’ he said.
‘‘It’s just a bit of fun for kids of all abilities.’’
