A number of events are scheduled that will give you the chance to engage directly with urban designers and city renewal experts and share ideas on the revitalisation of the Newcastle city centre.
The council and UrbanGrowth NSW are working together on this engagement and providing opportunities for members of the community and stakeholders to provide feedback on the vision and aspiration for the transformation of Newcastle's city centre and its objectives.
Our goal is to involve people from across Newcastle and the Hunter in a process that's easy to participate in.
On Monday, youth aged 12-25 participated in the Future Leaders Forum to have their say about the city they want to inherit in the next 30 years.
Wednesday is the Business and Industry Breakfast, at which we will engage with leaders from local small, medium and large businesses, as well as industry groups.
There are also two Community Workshops scheduled. The first of these open workshops, on Sunday, August 30, is at capacity, however, another has been added for Saturday, September 12.
If you miss these engagement events, there are still ways to participate and have your say, open until September 18.
