The five-week program is the fully accredited course of the International Association of Infant Massage.
It is the only infant massage program available in Australia that has been fully researched and evaluated.
During the course parents experience the benefits and joys that come from using healthy touch, infant massage and many other forms of communication with their baby.
Benefits of infant massage include improved sleep, confidence and independence with less crying and a smoother transition through each developmental phase.
Parents will have the opportunity to learn many different ways of using massage and nurturing touch to suit personal preferences while developing skills for settling baby and laying the foundations for a calm, confident and connected child.
The program offers sound information in an intimate, flexible and nurturing environment. Babies zero to 12 months are welcome.
Infant Massage Newcastle was established by Rochelle Dorman, who has a passion for supporting parents and making a positive difference to their lives during the post-natal period. She is a certified infant massage instructor.
