Council’s Manager Sustainability Alice Howe said the festival continued to attract visitors with an interest in sustainable living, despite being in its sixth year.
“This year, visitors enjoyed learning how to make the most of local produce with MasterChef 2013 winner, Emma Dean, and were able to take advantage of council’s native plant giveaway and collect two free native plants to help establish a habitat for local wildlife in their backyard,” Dr Howe said.
“We are hoping that visitors came away from the festival with information to help them recycle, reuse and repurpose, and make the most of the materials, goods and services that are available to us in our community.”
