The orchestra will perform Orchestra Intergallactica- an 'out of this world' concert event with repertoire from all things out of space... The Star Wars Suite, Star Trek, Holst's Planets Suite and more..
Newcastle Youth Orchestra and Newcastle Youth Orchestra Kids will be joined by the Song Crew, The Australian Army Band Newcastle and special guest artists.
Bring a picnic rug, a hamper or enjoy a feast from one of the food vendors in the Park and be serenaded under the stars!
Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelems will turn on the Christmas lights at 6.15pm.
Entertainment for kids will start at 5pm with a jumping castle, face painting and more! Music commences at 6pm through to 10pm.
Secure parking is available at Civic West car park, Gibson Street (near Newcastle Permanent) for a fee.
