A RARE, 360 degree photograph of Newcastle taken more than 100 years ago is the centerpiece of a new photographic exhibition launched at Newcastle Museum on Tuesday.

Newcastle Under Glass features images, all made from glass plate negatives, which have been selected by Greg and Sylvia Ray – the authors of several historic Novocastrian photographic books.
Greg Ray will host a special tour of the exhibition on Thursday at 5.30pm. The tour is free but bookings are essential. To hold your place on the tour call the museum on 4974 1401.
