Held concurrently with the 2015-16 Team Navy Australian Surf Rowers League Series at Manly on the weekend, the surf boat racing competition was full of thrills and spills.
Caves Beach Maroon won the open men division, defeating Bulli Team A and North Cottesloe Boatmen.
Elouera won the open women division; South Narrabeen Speed Dealers dominated the under-23 men; the under-23 women’s title went to Maroochydore Assets; and the Moruya Drifters came out on top in the under-19 mixed division.
The Australian Surf Rowers League competition also brought the heat, with more than 1000 competitors representing 100 clubs from across the state and country.
