The 17-year-old Lake Macquarie Tennis Centre prodigy received the award alongside the Central Coast’s Harrison Zammit.
Brogan has recently exploded onto the junior tennis scene.
She first picked up the racquet when she was 12.
Her love of tennis blossomed from an early age, when she would watch Serena Williams compete on television.
By 14, Brogan was contesting local tournaments.
She won the Northumberland Region Junior Development Series in the 16 years age group last year and the year before.
“I love the competitive side of tennis,” Brogan said.
“It’s a social sport but there’s also so much to learn.
“I like training for a goal.”
Determined is one way to describe the goal-oriented teen.
Brogan’s short-term goal is to improve her national ranking from the mid-300s to the 100s by the end of the year.
After that, the sky is the limit.
Brogan aspires to win an Australian Money Tournament, which are generally contested by an open age field.
She competed in an AMT last year in Sydney and made it through to the semi-finals.
