Between Monday and Thursday this week, then again between Sunday, May 8 and Tuesday, May 10, work will be done to upgrade Cary Street between The Boulevarde and Bay Street.
The work, aimed to improve safety and reduce congestion and delays during peak travel times, will be carried out between 6.30pm and 4.30am.
The work will involve cutting in new water mains and other drainage improvement work on Cary Street between James Street and Bay Street, widening the western side of Cary Street and the installation of traffic lights at the Cary Street, Donnelly Avenue and James Street intersection.
A temporary 40 km/h reduced speed limit, lane closures and traffic control will be in place between The Boulevard and Victory Parade.
Motorists can expect short delays.
