An election night extravaganza will be held at the Hamilton Station Hotel.
The line-up for the night will be Newcastle acts Rort Menace, Dog, and Johnny H. They will be joined by Melbourne’s the Yarbles and Sydney act Smitty & B.Goode.
Entry is $5 with all proceeds going to Warlga Ngurra Women and Children’s refuge.
Across the road at the Gallipoli Legion Club more election shenanigans are expected when recently reformed, veterans of the stage Yes Commissioner unleash their high energy show. Entry is free.
And down the road and over the bridge, The Australian Beef Week Show will host its own election gig, at Carrington Bowlo, joined by Mucho Sonar, LHI and Lachlan X Morris. Entry is $6.
Hawaiian Celtic
IRISH and Ukulele players are invited to join Aine Tyrrell and Sarah Carroll for a jam session at the Foghorn Brewery on July 6.
The jam session starts at 6.30pm, with a performance by both women at 8pm.
Entry is free.
Tunes for cancer
The exhibition fundraiser for Newcastle woman Jody Robinson, who is battling secondary stage breast cancer, will be held at The Edwards.
There will be lots of great art for sale and live entertainment, featuring Leo Larratt, DJ's Luke Dolan, aka Kid Mince; and Ben Leece, who will be spinning some bangers to ensure you get your booty shaking.
The exhibition will be held on July 15, starting at 6pm.
