And on day one of the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the 26-year-old will be part of the Opals squad preparing to take on Brazil.
She follows in the footsteps of fellow Hunters products Suzy Batkovic and Jenni Screen, who share a collective five Olympic medals between 2004 and 2012.
Australia’s women have featured on the podium at the past five Games but are still chasing an elusive gold medal.
“I think you just finally realise all the hard work you’ve gone through, and in that moment I guess your dreams come true and it was amazing,” Ebzery said last month after earning selection in the Rio-bound Opals squad.
“Ever since I was a little kid, in any sport I ever played I wanted to be an Olympian. Just being that sporty kid, it’s been a dream for a long, long time.”
The Opals finished a warm-up US on Monday before heading to Brazil and the Olympic Village.
