Works were carried out on Friday with Council’s CiviLake crews removing debris from the waterway at the end of James Street in Windale.
In total, 28 shopping trolleys were removed from the creek, as well as three bicycles and six car tyres, to improve water flow.
It followed recent work by Council’s Bush Regeneration Team to remove vegetation blockages within Council-controlled parts of the creek. The council is now sourcing grant funding to undertake a larger creek rehabilitation project.
