On the first Wednesday of the month Scullion will host the sessions with a guest songwriter.
The first one kicks of at the Prince of Wales Hotel (upstairs), Merewether on September 7 at 7pm. It will feature four times Golden Guitar winner Drew McAlister and Damian Baguley, of the Viper Creek Band.
Scullion has run similar events at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and at Nashville, for the past six years.
Entry is $10.
Vinyl lovers
The Hunter Record Fair is back in September at Mayfield Bowling Club.
Stallholders from around the country will be offering a massive range of both new and second-hand vinyl records and CDs. There will be bargains, rarities, LPs, 45s and more.
Saturday, September 17. Starts at 9am, until 4pm.
The Bowlo is in Ingall Street and entry is $3.
