We’re encouraging our residents to swap their existing 240-litre recycling bin for a 360-litre bin for a one-off fee of $25. That's an extra 50 per cent more bin space for your recyclables and will further assist in boosting recycling rates and reducing waste to landfill in the City. Our yellow-lidded recycling bins accept paper, cardboard, steel and aluminium cans, rigid plastic bottles and containers, glass bottles and jars. While household quantities of problem waste including paint, batteries, electronic waste, motor oil and other oils, gas bottles and fire extinguishers can be recycled free of charge at the Community Recycling Centre at Awaba Waste Management Facility. For more information, or to upgrade your recycling bin visit lakemac.com.au/waste/recycling.
