The open day is being held in conjunction with Marine Rescue Lake Macquarie and provides the chance for community members to test the waters of the sport with a paddle in a six-man canoe.
SUNRISE: Morning paddles through Swansea Channel are one of the highlights of The Lakes Outrigger Canoe Club training.
There will also be market stalls, barbecue, emergency and community service displays and kids activities from 7.30am to 2pm.
