The event was staged on November 5 and brought together approximately 1000 participants for a fun-filled day of live entertainment, head shaves, face painting, jumping castles, fireworks, as well as superhero visits.
The day remembers loved ones lost to cancer while also celebrating survival and fighting back against cancer.
Funds raised from the event will be put back into research, support and prevention programs funded by Cancer Council NSW in the Hunter.
Richard Finlay, chair of the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie Relay For Life committee, described the day as “incredible”.
