Nanshe’s studio had previously been located in Beaumont Street, Hamilton, for three years before shutting its doors in August while the artist travelled overseas.
Under the Renew Newcastle banner, Nanshe is now located in shop 12 within the old David Jones building alongside other Newcastle makers and artisans.
Joint exhibitions
THE exhibition Common Ground & Every Breath is being held at The Lock-Up and Curve Gallery. Both are located in Hunter Street, Newcastle.
Using air as an artistic medium, a motif or as the starting point for artistic research, this exhibition project explores the concept of air and its wider connections.
It features the work by Kevin Anderson, Ian Burns, Dale Collier, Ineke Dane, Sophia Emmett, Greg Fuller, Jason Hicklin, Tracy Hill, James Maher, Andrew Styan, Katie Styan and Lucy Weaver.
The exhibition runs until January 29, 2017.
