He has wanted to raise money for Cancer Council NSW for a number of years now.
He lost four relatives to cancer, including his father 14 years ago, and his mother in November, 2016.
And, late last year, he decided to do what he could to raise money for the cause.
After speaking with Cancer Council NSW and becoming an official fundraiser, Mr Cadman had to nominate how many kilometres he would run.
The Muswellbrook man has been an endurance runner for more than a decade, so he is no stranger to long distances.
He regularly runs for longer than most people would be keen to walk.
But, he is planning to stretch his limits, and raise $5000.
On April 24, he will begin a six-and-a-half-day journey on foot.
Covering 411 kilometres, Mr Cadman will run from Gunnedah, across to Tamworth, before returning to Muswellbrook.
On average, he will run a daily distance of 63 kilometres.
Due to the tiring nature of the quest, he has been preparing with lengthy training sessions.
During the warmer months, to avoid the heat, Mr Cadman begins running around midnight.
Upon finishing, around six hours later, he is greeted by a new sunrise.
As it is his first time creating a fundraising event like this, Mr Cadman is learning about the process as he goes.
However, he is certain this is something he wants to do again next year, and hopes to see it grow.
“My passion is trail running,” he said.
“You’ve got to do what the body wants to do.
“The resting process is just as important as the training.”
