Alex Bolt has earned enough money in the past week to avoid a return to Murray Bridge fence-building for a while, despite a would-be fairytale comeback ending in the Australian Open's first round, with the losers' cheque of $50,000 enough to fund his tennis travel for a year. The Mipolonga Football Club in South Australia's River Murray Football League may have lost a goal-kicking forward, but tennis has rediscovered a slightly lost soul.
