From live entertainment, jumping castles and aerobatic plane displays there's plenty of fun and entertainment planned for the Honeysuckle precinct. More than 150 people will become new citizens and The City of Newcastle Citizen, Young Citizen and Community Group of the Year will be awarded at City Hall in the traditional Australia Day citizenship ceremony before the Honeysuckle fun kicks off.
Honeysuckle Precinct: On and over the harbour. Splashdown Aqua Show (11.30am & 1.30pm) and the Sky Aces aerobatic stunt planes(10.30am, 12.30pm & 2.30pm); Paddle 4 Good HMRI fundraising community and elite paddle craft event
Worth Place park and car park: Rosie's School of Rock Future Rockstars concert 11am to 2.30pm and food and market stalls
Harbour Square: Kids play zone with free jumping castles, face painting and other fun
Restaurant precinct: Hit 106.9 live broadcast from 10am to 1pm; The Waste Wrappers Show and roving performers.
Road Closures: 9am-4pm Honeysuckle Drive at Hannell St; 9am - 4pm Workshop Way at Merewether St
Access for vehicles displaying Mobility Parking Scheme permits will be available via the Merewether Street/Workshop Way Road closure point.
