Macquarie Hunter’s Torrie Lewis broke a longstanding state record on her way to winning the under-12 girls 200-metre title at the NSW Little Athletics Championships held at Homebush from March 17 to 19.

Lewis ran 25.74 seconds to beat the previous record of 25.84, which has stood since 1979.
It was one of a number of winning performances for the club.
Teah MacPherson won the under-17 girls 100m and 100m hurdles double. She also combined with Milly Stephenson and Mia and Georgia Munro for second in the 4 x 100m 12-17 girls relay.
Her younger brother Jai MacPherson won the under-14 boys 200m hurdles title and was fourth in the 200m and long jump.
Wallsend RSL competitor Tiahna Skelton set a new state mark on her way to victory in the under-13 girls 200m hurdles. She backed it up with second in the 200m final and second also in the 80m hurdles.
Emily Whelan, from Adamstown New Lambton, won the under-17 girls high jump, winning with a jump of 1.80m, 14cm better than her nearest rival.
Eastlakes competitor Ashlyn Blackstock won the under-13 girls discus and shot put. Imogen Petrie (Macquarie Hunter) was second in discus.
Chelsea Goodhew, from Westlakes, won the under-17 girls 1500m walk.
Abbey Bowditch, of Cardiff and Districts, won the under-15 girls triple jump and was second in the 200m final.
Maitland's Mitch Lightfoot, who trains at Glendale, won the under-14 boys 90m hurdles. His clubmate Jesse Tindall won the under-14 boys high jump.
Lily Mullane, from Port Stephens, won the under-10 girls discus and shot put state titles.
- All Herald Women’s Premier League matches were postponed over the weekend due to wet grounds and just one Northern NSW National Premier League game went ahead. Broadmeadow defeated Weston 2-0 at Magic Park on Saturday night after James Virgili and Shane Paul both scored.
