The Newcastle Spinners and Weavers Guild Trading and Open Day will be held at the Uniting Church Hall in Narla Street, Belmont, on Saturday, April 9 from 9.30am to 1.30pm.
The day features 12 traders selling a range of products related to spinning and weaving – including fleece, carded tops, hand-dyed and spun yarns, dyes, books, and supplies for knitting, felting and associated crafts.
There will also be displays of spinning, weaving, dyeing with natural dyes and a display featuring the skills of some of the Guild’s expert members.
The drop spindle and traditional spinning wheels, will also be demonstrated.
