THREE men with links to the Nomads who were arrested after two alleged assaults and a shooting at the gang’s Islington clubhouse over the weekend have been granted bail.

Kane Benjamin Tamplin, 26, appeared in court on Monday where he pleaded not guilty to charges of affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm stemming from an alleged assault on two Sydney men, aged 42 and 40, at a Honeysuckle hotel on Saturday night.
According to police, Mr Tamplin is accused of head-butting and punching the 42-year-old man.
Mr Tamplin’s solicitor, Iain Bruce, applied for bail on his behalf and it was granted by Magistrate Robert Stone.
His matter was adjourned to May.
Dylan Britliffe, 32, who police said was a member of the Nomads, was charged with affray and reckless wounding in company in relation to the alleged Honeysuckle hotel brawl.
Mr Britliffe is accused of hitting the 40-year-old Sydney man in the side of the neck with a glass about 7.15pm.
The 40-year-old man suffered a deep laceration to his neck and fell to the ground, where his head was allegedly stomped on, police said.
The two Sydney men were taken to hospital, police said.
Mr Britliffe was granted conditional bail in Newcastle Bail Court on Sunday, according to a Department of Justice spokeswoman.
His matter was adjourned to next week.
The alleged brawl at Honeysuckle came a day after a 26-year-old Finks gang member was allegedly bashed by Nomads member Blake Kevin Martin, 26, at Anytime Fitness, Kotara.
The Finks gang member, who police said was from New Lambton, suffered a suspected fractured left arm when he was allegedly hit by a steel bar at the business in Bradford Close.
Mr Martin, of Branxton, was charged with affray, malicious damage, and use offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence.
He was also granted conditional bail in Newcastle Bail Court on Sunday, according to the Department of Justice.
His matter was adjourned to next week.
Police arrested the three men after they were called to the Nomads’ clubhouse in Chinchen Street, Islington after the building was struck with a hail of gunfire about 10.35pm on Saturday night.
Police seized several spent shells outside the building.
Bullet holes have been found in the front gates, doors and guttering.
The shells have been sent for forensic examination.
There were more than 10 people in the building at the time, however no one was injured.
No charges have been laid in regards to the shots being fired at the clubhouse, police said.
Newcastle Local Area Commander Superintendent John Gralton said the Hunter’s bikie community was on notice.
“Members of OMCG [outlaw motorcycle gang] who break the law; from assaults, gun crime, malicious damage or traffic offences, will face serious ramifications,” Superintendent Gralton said in a statement.
“The three incidents over the weekend show that police from local area commands, as well as specialist commands, will continue to work together to stamp out illegal and dangerous activity.”
