Porkers front-man Pete Cooper, AKA Peter Porker, has had his fair share of brushes with fame while touring the world with the band.
The one that impressed us the most at The Star was his brush with the late-Joey Ramone, of legendary New York Punk band The Ramones.
“It was 1995, The Continental, New York City,” Cooper said. “It was a night of local talent (called) Joey Ramone presents … I was a bumbling fan and probably didn't make much sense, but I gave him a copy of The Porkers debut album, he thanked me, and said he'd give it a listen.”
