The gallery will travel to locations in the Hunter each day during NAIDOC week.
A special event in her home town of Toronto, will take place as part of the Westlake’s NAIDOC celebration on the foreshore on June 4, it starts at 10.30am.
Fielding will formally handover a unique artwork telling the story of relationships and reconciliation to Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery for their permanent collection.
The work is titled Mariyang Wola Wola Malang and it means “go onward together.” It is a vibrantly coloured work that brings to life the relationship, diversity and connections of Aboriginal people and the valuable partnerships across the community of Lake Macquarie over the past years.
NAIDOC week runs from July 2-7.
