The challenge is run by Ability Links NSW. Students may enter their artwork as an individual or as part of a group in one of four categories: rap song, video, photos, and visual art.
All eligible entrants go in the draw to win prizes of $5000 or $2500 for their school. Entrants will also go in the draw to win one of three cash prizes of $500 towards an art project, or a student’s artistic development.
Students are asked to enter artwork that expressed what the idea of “inclusion” means to them.
It might depict a personal experience, a unique point of view, an idea, a hope, or a thought-provoking image or story about inclusion. Judges are looking for art that is interesting and original, and inspires audiences to think about the value of inclusion.
The Art Start entry deadline has been extended to July 28.
