Leroy MacQueen and Kat Friend aren’t concerned about taking a long breather as the pair announced on Tuesday that they would begin recording Introverted Extroverts’ follow-up next week.
“So stoked to say we start recording album number 3 next week, gunna be a ripper, me thinks,” The Gooch Palms said.
No news yet on when they will be back in Newcastle for a gig. Stay tuned.

NEW TEETH BARED
NEWCASTLE’S kings of post-punk melodrama, Suburban Haze, have given fans another taste of their upcoming second album Wilt.
Bare Teeth is the second single from the new record and sees the four-piece embracing a driving acoustic sound with a more standard pop-song structure.
Wilt springs to life on August 11 and to celebrate Suburban Haze are launching a national tour at the Cambridge Hotel on August 10.
SHIHAD REV UP
THE former St Philips Presbyterian Church in Newcastle East will thump with the music of the devil come November 24.
To coincide with the Newcastle 500 Supercars race, arguably New Zealand’s finest hard rock export Shihad are cranking up the volume at 48 Watt Street to guarantee the East End will still be shaking even after the drivers have gone to bed.
It’ll be a huge night in town as pop darling Delta Goodrem is also scheduled to perform down the road at the Newcastle Foreshore.
