THE University of Newcastle's Japanese-English Club is hosting a mini-Japanese film festival right here in Newcastle.

The club provides a space for people learning Japanese to come together with Japanese exchange students to practice their language skills.
Club president Miles Norris said the event was about fostering relations between Australia and Japan.
“We really feel like this festival would be something great for the Newcastle community, ” Mr Norris said.
The club is partnering with the Japan Foundation to bring four films to the screen at the Tower Cinema, King Street, Newcastle, on October 6-8.
The Films
Creepy: Friday, 7pm; The Mohican Comes Home, Saturday, 6.30pm; Tsukiji Wonderland , Sunday, 2pm; Bakuman , Sunday, 5pm.
Tickets are free and can be collected in the foyer one hour prior to screenings.
