Something as simple as a rose garden has made a big impact at the Newcastle Fronditha Care Aged Care Facility, Hippocrates.
Thirty rose bushes have been planted outside the front entrance providing quite a scenic change.
As the weather warms, hues of white, pink, red, apricot and purple will colour the entrance.
Green thumbs are already keenly watching the garden’s progress.
“The residents have been interested in the way the plants are growing and there’s been lots of very positive feedback,” facility manager Judith Cornish said.
While some residents might not be able to garden themselves, they are still able to secure some of the best vantage points to see the plants flower.

The rich lifestyle and leisure program create a joyous environment.
“We love to share and celebrate our residents’ life experiences and create new memories as we believe it is never too late to learn or experience something new,” Fronditha Care’s chief executive George Lekakis said.
