Lake Macquarie will host the fourth round of the Australian Offshore Superboat Championships, an exhilarating display of high-speed racing set against the spectacular backdrop of our picturesque lake and foreshore.
The Superboats series will be the feature event of the Lake Mac Big Weekend, two days jam-packed with fun and free activities around key vantage points from Eleebana to Warners Bay and along the Marmong Point foreshore reserve.
Attractions over the weekend will include markets, food stalls and entertainment, jet ski racing, ‘come and try’ water sports and aerobatic displays from the Matt Hall Racing flying team.
The Lake Mac Big Weekend is a fantastic community event and great showcase for Lake Macquarie. After launching in 2016, it has quickly become one of the biggest events on our city calendar.
It brings our community together, shows off our beautiful lake to a national audience and supports local business by bringing visitors and increased spending into Lake Macquarie.
Last year, more than 30,000 people flocked to the Big Weekend, and this year we expect even more as this exciting event continues to grow.
