Outspoken is a bimonthly event featuring local feminist women.
Janette Hope is a New Zealand born poet, of Maori heritage. Her work has been published in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
In 2011, she established Papatuanuku Press an underground publishing project that creates poetry events and books that raise funds to support charities such as Beyond Blue and The White Ribbon Foundation.
Hoppe will be joined by PhD candidate Supatra Gill.
Gill is the author of a memoir Luk-Khrueng Between Worlds which interrogates place, identity and belonging from a bi-racial perspective.
Gill was born in Thailand to a Thai mother and New Zealand father.
She has lived and worked in Australia for more than 30 years and considers it to be her home.
