The English culinary queen will bring her London West End show An Evening With Nigella Lawson to Newcastle’s Civic Theatre on February 1, a night before her appearance at the Sydney Opera House.
“It’s not really a show,” Lawson said. “It’s an intimate conversation around food, what it means to me, what it means to all of us and the stories around food and my life as it’s been lived through food.”
Lawson is one of the world’s most famous food writers, having sold 10 million cookbooks worldwide and her television shows Nigella: At My Table and Simply Nigella have captivated both female and male audiences.
Lawson is also a regular guest on the Australian edition of television cooking show MasterChef.
An Evening With Nigella Lawson aims to provide insights into the 58-year-old’s relationship with food and give the audience an opportunity to ask their own questions.
“I’m very excited that Australia and New Zealand will be the first countries outside of the UK to see this show,” Nigella said.
“I love the food and the people, and so I am delighted to be touring the country, meeting audiences and sharing our culinary stories.”
Tickets for the Newcastle show will go on sale from Ticketek on Thursday, November 15.
