This Sunday, the club will host its annual celebrations at Allambee Park, Valentine, with an added morning tea for seniors.
The event started in 1999 as a simple ceremony and a sausage sizzle, and has grown to attract about 150 people every year, mostly young.
Secretary Ann Ryan said this year the club hoped to attract elderly people who would otherwise be spending the day alone, by providing a morning tea.
"We always have lots of young families turn up, but we wanted to encourage seniors to join in because they're an important part of the community too," Mrs Ryan said.
The day will start at 9am with a flag-raising ceremony and a traditional Aussie breakfast, followed by an all-ages cricket match.
Tea and scones will be served at the seniors' morning tea at 10am.
Entry is free, however, gold coin donations can be made to the club.
