Newcastle West artist Mitchell Resevsky, aka Mitch Revs, will show off his skills in a live painting demonstration at the Hurley Open of Surfing at Manly Beach.
Revs said it was an exciting opportunity for someone his age to be working with such a big name brand as Hurley.
The 23-year-old was signed by the international brand early last year after they saw his work on social media.
He has also collaborated with international fashion labels Macbeth and Mr X Zipporra. For these brands, he designed clothing to create awareness of the environmental devastation predicted if heavy industry is developed in the Kimberley.
Revs said his artistic style was hard to describe but had a positive vibe.
"My work has always revolved around the ocean. I grew up around it and it has always been a huge part of my lifestyle," he said.
His use of pastel colours were an embodiment of playfulness and surf culture, he said.
Revs will design T-shirts for Hurley's clothing range.
His limited edition designs for the Manly contest have a skateboarding twist to appeal to the "groms".
They will be created on site at Manly, on the Hurley printing press, as part of an interactive art installation.
The press will run at Manly Beach from noon until 5pm from February 8 to 13, and 11am until 6pm from February 14 to 16.
