The 2014 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships will be held at Scarborough Beach, in Western Australia, from March 31.
It is a logistical nightmare for the east coast clubs this year, because they will have to cart all of their lifesaving gear across the country to compete.
Swansea-Belmont is taking 15 athletes in total - all medal-winners at last year's Australian titles.
Backing up to compete again this year are 16-year-old Justin McMorland, of Caves Beach, who won gold in the age group swim and bronze in the iron man and tube races; and Hannah Trypas, 19, of Hamilton, and Renee Gregory, 17, of Blacksmiths, who won the under-19 board rescue.
To raise money for the championships, the club is hosting an event this weekend called I Dream Of The Ride Ons and The Great Dividing Range.
It is on this Saturday, February 22 at Swansea-Belmont Surf Lifesaving Club from 7.30pm.
Tickets are $10, phone 0429 550 083 to purchase them.
