With Easter and Anzac Day being back-to-back weekends, many players took the oppportunity to have an extended holiday, so clubs' playing stocks were stretched to the limit.
The only close match was the BDAFL Match of the Day where Cardiff had to withstand a fast-finishing Singleton before winning 10.19 (79) to 10.11 (71).
At Dick Burwell Oval, Newcastle City overcame inaccurate kicking and a tenacious Nelson Bay outfit before running out winners, 20.25 (145) to 10.6 (66).
Killarney Vale and Warners Bay met at Feighan Oval in a match that was expected to be tightly contested.
However, that was not to be, with Killarney Vale running out big winners, 26.12 (168) to 4.5 (29).
At Tulkaba Park, Lake Macquarie’s season hit rock bottom as they were unable to record a single point in their 261-point demolition at the hands of Terrigal Avoca.
