University of Newcastle professor awarded for obesity prevention program Healthy Dads, Healthy Kids

UNIVERSITY of Newcastle Professor Philip Morgan's highly successful obesity prevention program Healthy Dads, Healthy Kids has received global recognition for leadership in promoting health and well-being in the community.

The world-first program, which encourages fathers to become family role models by spending quality time with their children through exercise and healthy eating, was awarded the Excellence in Obesity Prevention Award from the World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre for Obesity Prevention in Australia.
