Newcastle pummelled the North Queensland Cowboys 36-28 last Monday at Hunter Stadium, breaking their seven-game losing streak.
They recorded another win against the Parramatta Eels on Sunday, winning 16-10 despite being at an away-ground disadvantage. The Knights have a bye this week, but will return in round 18 to face the Cronulla Sharks on Sunday, July 13, at Remondis Stadium.
At the next match, where the Knights play the Gold Coast Titans at home on Sunday, July 20, $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Alex McKinnon fund. The Newcastle Knights lock broke his neck in a game against Melbourne in March. The"Rise For Alex" round is expected to raise more than $100,000.
