The feisty midfielder powered through the tournament to help NSW/ACT claim the division two under-18s title with a 13-point win against Queensland last Wednesday.
Heeney gathered 21 touches as NSW/ACT ran out 8.10 (58) to 6.9 (45) victors at Etihad Stadium.
The 18-year-old has been a member of the Sydney Swans Academy since he was 12.
The academy will have first pick of Heeney in the upcoming draft for the main draw.
However, it is thought the academy will need to pay top price for the AFL star to outbid other clubs also seeking his talent.
