The Knights slammed the Cronulla Sharks 31-18 at Remondis Stadium last Sunday.
The win saw Newcastle hold on to 14th place on the NRL ladder.
They will need to win at least seven of the next eight games to reach the finals.
However, the team refuses to give up hope.
The Knights hope to win again this Sunday at the "Rise For Alex" match against the Gold Coast Titans at Hunter Stadium.
One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to the Alex McKinnon fund, which was established after the Knights lock broke his neck in a game against Melbourne in March.
