Dore was recruited in 2012 as an interim replacement for Don Champagne.
After holding the position for three years, Dore has appointed former Sydney Ice Dogs coach Andrew Petrie as the North Stars' coach for the 2015 season.
Petrie, who started his career with the Dandenong Blackhawks in Victoria, has more than 35 years' experience in ice hockey.
Dore said the North Stars would benefit from Petrie's skill and knowledge.
"It's time for a fresh approach," Dore said.
"I believe that with the mix of youth and experience that we have at this club, some fresh ideas will really bring out the best in the players."
Dore will remain the club's general manager.
