Believed to be the world’s first giant waterslide festival, it will be held at Pokolbin’s Calais Estate from Friday to Sunday.
Slideapalooza will feature three 400-metre inflatable waterslides, along with a 50-metre slide and a children’s obstacle course.
Fun Events CEO Adam McDonald said everything is on track for a great event.
“Setup has been interesting with the extremes in weather going from blistering heat yesterday to wearing jumpers today (Wednesday),” he said.
“Fortunately nothing was damaged in last night’s storms and it is business as usual with the majority of the set up close to completion.”
Three-hour sessions will be held each morning and afternoon, capped at 1000 sliders per session.
Tickets are selling well, with the Sunday afternoon session already sold out.
A concert originally planned for the Saturday evening had to be cancelled to due council regulations.
The festival has partnered with Tour de Cure, which raises funds for cancer research.
