“He is your typical VB drinking bogan but he is so in touch with his emotions,” a spokesperson for Newcastle comedy organisation Onslow Arts Council said.
White also loves Disney movies and is the driving force behind the podcast series Dissecting Uncle Walt.
His love of Disney flows into his comedy, he's a “seriously super funny guy”.
White will be bringing his unique brand of Newcastle flavoured comedy It Takes a Village to Raise an Idiot to The Press Book House. He will be joined by special guests Liam Callen and James Connors.
It’s on November 24 at 7pm, and just $5 will get you through the door.
NIGHT HAWK
THE Craw are ready to rock the Stag and Hunter Hotel again. This time in the esteemed company of their southern brothers The Dark Clouds, as well as fellow Newcastle rockers of renown Creatures from the Black Leather Lagoon.
Your can expect them to crank out a set of predominantly original garage rock influenced by glam, surf and punk rock. The Craw will release their debut five track EP Night Hawk on the night. They will be on stage at 9pm.
Night Hawk will be available on the night as a 10” vinyl, with a very limited edition of 30 pressings.
It’s on December 2, kicking off at 8pm.
BARRY’S BACK
HE is not from Newcastle, but he damn well should be. Newcastle’s favourite adopted son Barry Morgan is coming back to hit the eggnog hard and serve up a special Christmas dinner and show at Carrington Bowling Club.
Have Yourself a Barry Little Christmas is sure to delight young and old when the man himself brings his roving organ back to Newcastle for the second time due to popular demand. It’s on November 27, tickets are available here: trybooking.com
ART ON DECKS
COME check out some rad local art on skateboard decks at Softies, 20 Maitland Road, Islington.
These decks have finished their hard lives, and hope to retire to a life of bliss hanging on someone’s wall.
All proceeds will go to Skatistan - an education, art and skate charity operating out of Afganistan, South Africa and Cambodia.
It’s on December 2, 6pm.
