To mark this momentous occasion, Hunter Valley Gardens is presenting the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest and most breathtaking display of over 2 million lights, which runs until January 27.
Kilometres of illuminated pathways and sparkling lights in every direction stretch across the 13 hectare garden.
And for the first time ever, to mark the anniversary, Hunter Valley Gardens will be giving away 10 incredible prizes to attendees throughout the event.
Including the major prize of a Hunter Valley Crossroads Festival weekend away consisting of two nights’ accommodation for two, two tickets to the Crossroads festival of your choice at Roche Estate, wine tasting and more.
Prizes will be awarded randomly to visitors at the ticket gate, and details will be announced on Hunter Valley Gardens’ social media channels.
Sightseers can see 16 individual displays, including a chance to go ‘globetrotting’ with an ‘Around the World’ themed area, which includes some of the most iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Sydney Harbour Scene, Dutch Windmills and a giant 4m diameter globe. These along with an incredible present tree that stands 4m tall, will be lit up in extravagant style.
The inflatable fun zone will make a return this year in two new locations, giving children even more opportunities to jump, bounce and race.
There will also be stunning fireworks displays held New Year’s Eve at 9.00pm.
The entire family will be able to enjoy the festive season with a delicious selection of food and beverage stalls, roaming entertainment including carollers (until Boxing Day), and nightly performances by much loved children’s music group Little Scallywagz.
Gates will open at a new time of 5.30pm and will close at 10.00pm, entry is $30 per adult, $25 for children 4-15 yrs, with children under 3 years free. There are also family tickets and wristbands for rides available. Visit: http://www.hvg.com.au.
