The Bureau of Meteorology issued a hazardous surf warning on Monday for Byron Coast, Coffs Coast, Macquarie Coast, Hunter Coast and Sydney Coast.

Clean waves through out the morning with a light offshore while the tides low.Some good banks have formed and the shorebreaks to improve as the tide fills late morning.

Swell from the S/E at 1 to 1.5m.Wind light N/W tending East to N/E during the afternoon.

Banks off Divider,South Bar,Dixon and Pogos.On high,Merewether and Bar Reef.Burwood,Redhead and Frechmans to the south.One Mile and Birubi up at Port Stephens.Smaller conditions for Sunday.

Water is murky in with some kelp at Merewether.Only go to patrolled beaches if not a strong swimmer.Water temps 22C.
