The event will be held in Speers Point Park, near the heritage shed, next Saturday, February 11.
Event organiser Sue Donald said similar events would be held simultaneously around the world.
It will start at 3pm with music by the Western Lake Macquarie Concert Band.
“Earthern Rhythms, an African drum and dance group, will then perform, leading us into our dance at 4pm,” Ms Donald said.
“In 2016, more than 200 countries performed the same dance routine on Valentine’s Day to signal an end to violence against women.”
After the dance, a sausage sizzle will be held to raise funds for a local women’s shelter, Ms Donald said.
