Hosted by the Swansea RSL Fishing Club, great weather for the weekend meant it was standing room only as catch after catch were presented for the weigh-in.
Redhead Bowling Club Fishing club reigned supreme with an incredible catch between them of 134kg of cleaned fish. One of the stand out catches of the weekend came from Redhead locals, John Devries and Gary Turner with a magnificent catch of trag and snapper.
Well done to Redhead which won the champion club and deep sea champions, however Pelican RSL Fishing Club weren’t to be left behind with a combined total of 64kg. The club won the lake and estuary division with Don Cummings presenting a huge catch of Jew and flathead for a total of 21kg.
Sadly, Swansea RSL Fishing Club, while turning on a great feed, failed to back it up with good fish and came in last with a weight of 32kg. Gun junior angler, Calen Pritchard showed the seniors how it’s done with an impressive catch of luderick, bream, and leather jackets.
