Alongside Williams’ massive six goal haul, which earned her a spot as one of the Best for Wyong Lakes, the return of Alexandra Pearce spurred the Magpies to their eventual 55-point win.
Rebecca Ives, Ashleigh Sephton and Alanna Nicholson each added a goal to Wyong Lakes’ ten goals tally.
The Magpies will look to continue their positive start to the 2018 campaign in the second round as they face the Newcastle City Novas, while Gosford return home to welcome the Cardiff Hawks to Adcock Park.
