Fronditha Care is a not-for-profit charitable aged care organisation.
The Hippocrates Australian Greek Aged Persons Association, is a community organisation, who have come together to care for and enrich the lives of the frail members of our community in their golden years.
The association has partnered with Fronditha Care since the nursing home’s establishment in 2011 and donated their land in Mayfield for the building’s construction.
Fronditha Care’s Mayfield nursing bears the association’s name, Hippocrates.
On top of their generosity, the association has organised regular fundraisers for the nursing home and always makes the effort to invite all the residents to their events.
One such selfless contribution was made on Sunday, April 22 when an impressive $5300 was donated by the association to Fronditha Care’s 66-bed facility in Mayfield.
The donation was given to Fronditha Care at a luncheon organised by the Hippocrates Association in its community hall, attended by 30 residents, their families and friends and supporters of the organisation.
“The relationship between our two organisation’s is mutually beneficial,” Judith Cornish, manager of Residential Care at Hippocrates said. “I am in awe of the passion and commitment that the volunteers of the Hippocrates Association continually display towards Fronditha Care’s cause. They are the bricks and mortar of our residential care facility.”
The funds donated were raised at a charity masquerade ball organised by the association at its community hall in February.
The event received broad community support with well over 200 people dressing up, enjoying the tastes of Greek cuisine and dancing the night away to Greek music and the tunes of The Shedmasters Band.
Fronditha Care is a not-for-profit provider of residential and community aged care services that celebrates the cultural and linguistic background of every resident.
